About Us

Once Upon a Time...

Luke graduated from Crown College of the Bible in 2003. He married Jamie in July of 2006. God has blessed them with five children. Together they had the privilege of serving in the pastorate in Florida from 2007-2011. While in Lake Placid, Luke and Jamie wrote a book about their love story to encourage young people to stay pure and wait on the life's mate God has for them.

In August of 2011, our family began our journey to serve the Lord as labourers among Unreached People Groups in Asia. We prepared ourselves at Baptist Bible Translator’s Institute in Bowie, Texas. During that time, God directed our path to work among the Tibetan people in the country of Nepal. Watch a fun video about life in Nepal here.

In February of 2014, we moved to Kathmandu, Nepal and experienced God’s work of grace and protection upon our family.

While filling in for our ministry partners who had just returned to America, a massive 6.9 earthquake shook Nepal. We were able to be a help to many families who lost their homes and family members.

Early during our time in Nepal, as we were discipling young believers, Luke became burdened to write Bible stories for those who come from a background without a Biblical world-view. Many of these materials have been printed as well as made available on our evangelistic website: www.pilgrimoftruth.com.

As we continued learning the Nepali language, Luke and Jamie were given the privilege to serve at the Crown Nepal Bible College by teaching classes and preaching at youth conferences. We also were able to assist in outreaches to villages of the Tamang and Gurung people.

In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Kathmandu experienced a lockdown for several months that adversely affected the economy of the entire country of Nepal. We were able to bring food to several villages and love people in Jesus' name. Watch video update here

As we have travelled to distant villages around mountainous Nepal, we have come to realize that many Christians are limited in their access to Godly churches and Biblical resources. There is a need to ground young believers in sound doctrine and provide audio resources for the many villagers who are illiterate.

Thank you for taking the time to read about what God is doing in our lives. I am excited to invite you to join us in some exciting things that God is doing in our world today!
